Vincent Kwaks is Chief Technology Officer and joined Vanderlande in 1999, and became CTO on 1 May 2014. Born in 1964, Vincent has over 25 years of experience in system and software engineering, system integration and (project) management. As Vanderlande’s CTO, Vincent is responsible for the company’s long-term vision and resulting roadmaps for its different business segments. Vincent’s goals at Vanderlande are to ensure it is the market leader in innovation for baggage handling, parcel and postal and warehousing, and to create and sustain a challenging working environment for Vanderlande’s staff. In addition, Vincent is working to develop the company’s talented new professionals, facilitate Vanderlande’s sustainable business growth, and move sustainability on to the agenda of all parties. Vincent’s major achievements at Vanderlande include:

  • Schiphol D-Pier system (BAGTRAX and first automated BAGSTORE)
  • Barcelona Terminal 1 (first full integrated carrier system, including in-tub screening)
  • Heathrow Terminal 5 (largest automated BHS built and put into operation as one project)
  • UPS Louisville (largest material handling system ever built and in operation)
  • Co-development with key customer for non-conveyable solution at major parcel handling air hub
  • High Tech system award (Dutch innovation award) for Heathrow Terminal 5 project.
