As the technological pillar of Europe’s ambitious Single European Sky (SES) initiative, SESAR Joint Undertaking (JU) is the mechanism which coordinates and concentrates all EU research and development (R&D) activities in ATM,  harnessing the expertise of the entire ATM community in order to define, develop and validate solutions in preparation for their deployment.

Following the Warsaw Declaration at the end of 2016, the European Commission requested the SESAR JU to update the European ATM Master Plan to outline a clear path for the roll-out of U-Space involving all key actors.

Against the backdrop of the 1st International Robotics Week in The Hague, 19-21 April 2017, the SESAR JU has decided to host a dedicated U-Space workshop. This week, The Unmanned Systems Expo (TUS Expo) and RoboBusiness Europe are being held at the World Forum, providing the delegations a great opportunity to network, see the latest industry developments, join panel discussions and attend inspiring keynotes. In addition, there will be spectacular side events such as flight demonstrations, a tour to the Rotterdam harbor and more.

The SESAR workshop will explore the vision for introducing game-changing U-Space operations and technologies in Europe and discussing what’s in mind for the tech industry’s key innovators.

The workshop aims to be an interactive event and will welcome institutional speakers from the European Commission as well as key industrial players. A  draft agenda can be found here:

The SESAR event is by invitation only but the delegation will visit the exhibition and join parts of the general program of the conferences.
