Catharina Maracke

Catharina Maracke: Graduate, University of Kiel and Hamburg Court of Appeal, Germany; PhD,
Max Planck Institute, Munich and admitted to the Bar, Germany. Formerly,
Director, International, Creative Commons, overseeing international
licensing projects, and Member, Global Agenda Council on the
Intellectual Property System, World Economic Forum.

Catharina Maracke is currently Founder of the Software Compliance Academy and Associate
Professor, Graduate School for Media and Governance, Shonan Fujisawa
Campus, Keio University Japan; research focuses on intellectual property
law and policy, standardization efforts for public licensing schemes,
and the general interaction between law and technology. Also, Faculty
Associate, Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School
and Visiting Professor at Institute for Library and Information Science,
Humboldt University Berlin.
